Quality Management System Principles
Nakhla Watan Limited is committing to the implementation of Quality Management System principles, which are illustrated in ISO 9001- 2015.

1. Project Quality System

1.1 Purpose
a. This Quality Control Plan is prepared with the purpose of providing a simple and effective system for Quality Control.
b. The following procedures shall be implemented, mandatory and applied to GGC departments, staff, and its sub-contractors
1.2 Terms and Terminology
1.2.1 Quality Plan (QP): A document setting out the specific quality practices, resources and sequences of activities relevant to a project.
1.2.2 Work Procedures (WP): A document that specifies or describes how a work activity is to be performed.
1.2.3 Inspection and Test Plan (ITP): A document that plans inspection and test activities, which identify characteristics, methods, acceptance criteria, as a minimum, and which provides for recording the results inspection and tests

2.Document Control
2.1 Purpose
To demonstrate how documents are reviewed for adequacy, approved, issued by authorized personnel, distributed and used at the location where the activity affecting the quality is performed.

2.2 Scope
Only documents which specify quality requirements or prescribe activities affecting quality are addressed here, which include:

  • Construction Specification
  • Quality Plan
  • Work Procedures
  • Inspection and Test Plan
  • Construction Drawings
  • Forms/Checklists, etc.

2.3 Responsibilities
2.3.1 All personnel shall have proper experience in the task and duties assigned to them including project manager, quality control engineer, inspection and safety officers.
2.3.2 Changes to a document shall be reviewed and approved by the same personnel who performed the original review and approval unless other personnel is specifically designated by
Project Manager / QC-QA Manager.

2.4 Miscellaneous Requirements
2.4.1A master list shall be readily available with all pertinent information with regards to specific
document

3.Analysis of Data
3.1 Purpose
This Analysis provides information to the GGC regarding the needs of the consultant and the client.
3.2 Responsibilities
Both Technical Office Manager and Project Manager shall be qualified personnel who are aware of their duties and will comply with them fully.

4.Procurement Control

4.1 Purpose
This is to establish and control purchasing to ensure that the purchased material and equipment conform to the specified requirements of the contract.
4.2 Responsibilities
Engineering Manager, as well as Operation Manager, are responsible for preparing a list of material needed for construction as well as the pre qualification of suppliers and placing purchased order and ensuring timely delivery.

5.Control of Process

5.1 Purpose
To establish work control processes during construction.
5.2 Responsibilities
Project Manager along with field engineer and field supervisors shall monitor and control construction site work as well as monitor and control construction equipment.

6.Inspection and Test Control

6.1 Purpose
The purpose is to control inspection and testing to verify that the specified requirements for construction are met.
6.2 Responsibilities
Project Manager along with QC/QA engineer ensure that the installed work is strictly in conformance with the quality requirements established for the project from specifications, drawings, and approved shop drawings as well as standard industry practices, concerning workmanship and safety as well as arranging for tests as applicable.
6.3 Action/Method Required to Control
Inspection and Testing shall be specified on the applicable ITP. Conformance to construction activity to specified requirements shall be verified through inspection and testing.Inspection or test result shall be recorded in the related checklist/report.
